Gregory Henry Rother 1932-2004

Prayer service for Gregory H. Rother will be held at 6 p.m. today at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity with Revs. Stephen Bird, Don Wolf, Joe Arledge and Dan Mueggenborg officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Rother died Dec. 3, 2004, at University Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Okarche. He was a lifelong resident of Okarche and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and also worked at OKC West. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Augusta (Mueggenborg) Rother; two brothers, Lawrence Rother and Victor Rother; and three sisters, Lucille Rother, Evelyn Rother and Rose Ann Wolf.

He married Juanita Arledge on July 5, 1968. Juanita survives him in death.

He is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Paula Rother of Norman; a daughter, Teresa Rother of El Reno; brothers, Jodie Rother of Rome, Ga., Leo Rother of Okarche and Clarence Rother of Dodge City, Kan.; sisters, Mary Agnes Baustert of Okarche, Bernadette Stangl and Trudy Kroutil, both of Sparks, and Kathy Landoll of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren, Tyler Rother and Sophie Rother.
